About Brillaince

Built in India.
Read in forty languages.

Brillaince is a brand and reputation intelligence platform from DAV Media. It reads press, social, YouTube and what AI models say about a brand through one analysis engine, then ranks what to do about it and drafts the response. This is how it came to be built that way.

Our story

We built the tool we could not buy.

01Where it came from

We did not start as a software company.

Brillaince is built by DAV Media, a media, communications and advertising agency whose creative, media and technology teams work with brands including PepsiCo, Amazon, Jack Daniel's, Kingfisher and Tata Power, and alongside agencies including Wunderman Thompson, Ogilvy, DDB and AdFactors PR. At that end of the market nobody gets to be approximately right about reputation. A misread story costs a client something that shows up on a P&L.

So the problem we set out to fix was never a gap in a feature matrix. It was the specific, recurring experience of having four tools open, three numbers that disagreed, and a client on the phone who wanted one answer.

Four tools open, three numbers that disagreed, and a client who wanted one answer.

02The decision

Build the analysis layer first. Sources second.

Most monitoring products are assembled the other way around: acquire feeds, then layer reporting on top of whatever each feed returns. It is the faster path to a long source list, and it is why so many dashboards show numbers that cannot honestly be compared to one another.

We inverted it. One analysis engine was built first, and every channel, press, social, YouTube, AI answers, was brought in to run through it. Adding a source to Brillaince means teaching the existing engine to read it, not bolting on a vendor with its own idea of what negative means.

03The language problem

India made the hard decision for us.

A brand operating in India is discussed in a dozen languages before breakfast, and the story that damages it is rarely the one written in English. Every shortcut here, translate first, score later, quietly destroys the thing you were trying to measure.

So the engine reads natively. 40+ languages, 12 of them Indian, scored on the original text rather than on a translation of it. Building for the hardest market first is why the same engine now holds up across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific without a second methodology bolted on for each.

Build for the hardest language market first, and the rest of the world is a smaller problem.

04The turn nobody scheduled

Buyers stopped searching and started asking.

Somewhere in the last two years, a meaningful share of the questions that used to begin on a search page began going to a model instead. Which brand is safest. Which vendor is best. Is this company in trouble. The answer arrives confident, sourced from somewhere, and with no second page to scroll to.

That is a reputation channel, and almost nobody was watching it. Brillaince now checks what ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews say about a brand every day, whether it is accurate, whether a competitor is recommended instead, and which sources are feeding the answer.

05Where it stands

One platform, from the first signal to the published response.

Press across 5,000+ sources. Social at post level. YouTube by video and channel. Every major AI engine, daily. A velocity clock measured against each brand's own baseline. One ranked queue instead of six competing dashboards. Drafts written from the live data behind an alert. An assistant that answers from your own workspace and says so when the data cannot. And an API, so none of it is trapped behind our interface.

It is used by brands, and by the agencies and communications teams working for them, in India and internationally.

The company behind it

DAV Media is a media, communications and advertising agency.

Brillaince did not come out of a software incubator. It came off an agency floor, built by the people who were already doing the work it now supports.

DAV Media is a media, communications and advertising agency. Creative, media, technology, digital marketing and production sit under one roof, working with brands where a single story moves real money and a bad week is measured in more than sentiment.

That is an unusual place for a monitoring platform to be built, and it is the reason this one is opinionated. Every judgement in the product, from what counts as a crisis to which signal outranks which at nine in the morning, is a judgement this team has already had to make with a client on the line.

Visit DAV Media

Creative

Strategy, identity and campaign

Positioning, design systems and campaign work for national and global names. The reason Content Studio drafts in a brand's voice rather than a template's.

Media

Planning, buying and earned

Paid and earned media across markets and languages, plus the PR practice behind it. The reason the platform knows a trade title can matter more than a national daily.

Technology

Platforms, tooling and automation

An in-house engineering team building the analysis engine, the pipelines and the product itself. Not outsourced, not white-labelled.

Digital Marketing

Performance, social and SEO

Paid, organic and search running off one plan. The reason AI Reputation exists: this team watched discovery move from a results page to an answer.

Production

Film, AV and content

Brand films, TVCs and product shoots, scripted, shot and graded in house. The reason YouTube is read at video and channel level rather than counted.

The people

A small team that has sat on your side of the table.

The people building Brillaince have run the accounts, written the statements and taken the call at eleven at night. That is why the product is opinionated about what happens after the dashboard, and careful about what it claims before it.

How we work

Four rules we hold ourselves to.

01

Say what the data can't do

Limits are published on the product pages, not buried in a contract. A buyer who knows the edges trusts the middle.

02

Specific beats impressive

An alert that names the page to correct is worth more than a dashboard that reports a mood. Every output is asked the same question: what does someone do with this?

03

The client owns the judgement

Nothing is published, sent or posted by Brillaince. It drafts, ranks and explains. A person decides.

04

Built to be inspected

Every score can be traced to the text behind it. Methodology that cannot be examined is marketing.
